Now the question is whether or not Bouchon’s macarons beat Laduree… And I’m thinking maybe yes?! (interested to talk to you about this, Jordan)

I took my friend who is visiting me here in New York to Bouchon bakery just yesterday for a mocha and a TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo) and while standing in line, I informed her “You’re not allowed to try a macaron here. I won’t let you.” my exact words…
oh nathan, I’m crushed.

In an effort to get people to look into each other’s eyes more, and also to appease the mutes, the government has decided to allot each person exactly one hundred and sixty-seven words, per day.
When the phone rings, I put it to my ear without saying hello. In the restaurant I point at chicken noodle soup. I am adjusting well to the new way.
Late at night, I call my long distance lover, proudly say I only used fifty-nine today. I saved the rest for you.
When she doesn’t respond, I know she’s used up all her words, so I slowly whisper I love you thirty-two and a third times. After that, we just sit on the line and listen to each other breathe.

I haven’t been posting much in the last few months because I’m busy illustrating The Gospel of Luke with Marke.  Anyway, here is me recording drums for Katie Chastain’s new album, which Nathan is producing.  Also, to the far right of the photo is my younger sister, The Warden, trying not to look bored while she listens to take 15 of me screwing up.  This photo, incidentally, was taken by Chris Jacobs, who is currently my favorite person because a.) he has a mustache, and b.) he only gets slightly annoyed when I distract him from his real job all day by making up songs about him and singing them loudly.
